Here is a list of things that help me when I’m feeling down in the dumps. I know it’s hard. It’s really freaking hard but remember, everything is temporary. This too, shall pass.
- deep breaths
- name 5 things you can see, 4 things you can touch, 3 things you can hear, 2 things you can smell, 1 thing you can taste
- name the 50 states in alphabetical order (or anything that you can name easily. e.g. your childhood streets, the alphabet backwards, etc.)
- scream into a pillow
- hit said pillow, hard
- a hot shower
- a cold shower
- bake some cookies
- snuggle with cats
- online shopping
- find my good friends, Ben & Jerry
- do yoga
- smoke weed (in moderation)
- take a nap
- go for a run (in all honesty, I don’t really do this)
- drink some hot tea
- eat some chocolate
- call someone who loves you
- where are the closest dogs?
- more weed tbh
- who gives the best hugs?
